pleased to meet you:
Born in 1921, he started creating his drawings in 1953.
He had no formal art training and worked as a stenographer for the Rock Island Railroad.
He didn't think of himself as an artist.
He wasn't very fond of his job and his drawings gave him an escape.
His drawings are made on graph paper with an ink pen.
In his older years, his caregiver found his drawings in a drawer and realized their awesome-ness.
His works were exhibited at the show Obsessive Drawing at the American Folk Museum.
I can't get over how cool these are. so crazy intricate! and his color choices were ahead of his time.
