Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes

We just saw Black Swan this past weekend. It was quite intense. I highly recommend seeing it on the big screen. The visuals were quite striking, especially the costumes and makeup. Speaking of ballet costumes I just came across these from the Ballets Russes. There is an exhibit that is only up for another couple of days at the V&A Museum in London. Wish we were there so we could check it out. Here are a few images from the exhibit. The top image is of costumes designed by Leon Baskt in 1912. The second image shows costumes designed by Nicolai Roerich in 1913. The last image is of a costume designed by Pablo Picasso in 1917.
