Ben Rose

Ben Rose (1916-2004) was born in Indiana and attended school at the Art Institute of Chicago. After struggling as a painter, he joined his brother in the silk screen business, subsequently starting up his own company. His designs were often inspired by his world travels to Africa and Southeast Asia. He played the trombone (fairly well, I hear) and collected European race cars.

Antelopers, 1965

Girafters, 1949

Earthforms, 1967

Meteoric, 1965

Plane Tree II, 1975

oh, and his (rad) house was featured in the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off, more on that later!
