Henry P. Glass

Brian ran into a blog post or an article somewhere on Henry P. Glass, so we started doing a little investigating. He was a designer, architect, author and inventor born in Vienna but immigrated to America in 1939. He spent time in both Dachau and Buchenwald but luckily was released with intervention from his wife. He studied under Moholy-Nagy and worked with Russel Wright and eventually went on to open his own design firm and also started the Industrial design department at the Art Institute of Chicago where he taught for over 20 years. Here are a few sketches and an image of some foldable furniture.
