Claire McCardell

When I think of American style, Claire McCardell is one of the 1st to come to mind. Not sure if they will have any of her garments in the Costume Institute's exhibit, but they should since she is acknowledged as the creator of the "American Look." Here are some images of her Play Suits and Bathing Suits.
