The Glass House

Yesterday we went to tour Philip Johnson's Glass House thanks to our friend's Andrea and Butch. Andrea got tickets for us all last September when the tickets went on sale for the 2009 season. The tours are small so they book up fast. We have been looking forward to it for months and the wait was well worth it. Unfortunately, we were not permitted to take photos, but there are tons on the internet. Here are a few. Above is the house, which is quite amazing. Below are shots from his semi-underground art gallery, with some Frank Stella pieces from his collection. The setting it so bucolic yet you walk into the gallery and feel like you are in a manhattan.
